Open Shoverlay on the Mac App Store. Open VeeCam on the Mac App Store.
Capture, recording, or camera does nothing
Grant Screen Recording, Camera, and/or Microphone to that app in System Settings → Privacy & Security, then quit and reopen the app.
No system audio in recordings
Recording computer audio requires Screen Recording permission on supported macOS versions. Check the app’s Recording settings, and the Sound pane in System Settings if needed.
No camera or microphone
Enable Camera and Microphone for the app in System Settings → Privacy & Security. A webcam overlay is optional. For a document-camera app, connect a USB document camera, visualizer, or UVC webcam first — it is not a built-in FaceTime camera tool.
Files won’t save
The first save to Downloads, Desktop, or Documents may ask for folder access. You can also choose a folder each time in Settings.
