Shoverlay lives in the Mac menu bar. Click the icon, or use your shortcut, and choose how to capture — then keep working.
Capture modes
All-In-One opens a picker on screen. You can also jump straight to a mode from the menu.
- Area — drag a rectangle, or recapture the previous area.
- Window — grab one app window, cleanly.
- Scrolling — stitch a long page into one image.
- Fullscreen — the whole display.
- Timer — delay the shot for hover states and menus.
- OCR — copy text from anywhere on screen.
Screen recording
Record MP4, MOV, GIF, or animated WebP. Capture system audio, your microphone, and an optional webcam overlay. Highlight clicks and show keystrokes. Optional Do Not Disturb. Trim in the built-in editor.
Annotate in place
Arrows, shapes, text, highlighter, pixelate, spotlight, blur, and step counters. Crop, change the background, or insert an image. Pin a capture above other windows, or open the annotator.
After the shot
Quick Access lets you copy, save, annotate, or pin. History reopens anything later. Export PNG, JPEG, TIFF, or WebP. Hide desktop icons or use a solid / wallpaper background when you want a clean shot.
Stays in the menu bar
A companion, not a studio. Global shortcuts are fully customizable. An optional Dock icon only when you want it.
