Scan a document with a USB camera on your Mac

Document scan is for loose pages: a worksheet, a letter, a form. An open book has its own mode. A card and a QR code do too.

Scan the pages

1. Connect the USB document camera and lay the page flat.
2. Choose Document in Capture.
3. Use auto scan, or crop manually if the edges are wrong.
4. For several pages, keep capturing into the same batch, then save.

If the page looks skewed, flatten it under the camera or switch to manual crop. The file stays on your Mac.
