Previous Area repeats the last rectangle. You use it when a dialog, a build, or a page updates and you need the same frame again. You do not drag, and you do not pick a new size.
Run it
- Take an area capture once, so Shoverlay has a rectangle to remember.
- Change whatever is inside that part of the screen.
- Choose Previous Area from the menu or the picker.
The new image uses that same rectangle. If you wanted a different size, go back to Area and drag again. That new drag becomes the rectangle Previous Area will use next time.
If nothing repeats
Previous Area has no rectangle until an area capture has succeeded in this session of use. Take one area shot first. Screen Recording still has to be allowed.
Install Shoverlay on the Mac App Store.
