A normal screenshot cuts off a page that is taller than the display. Scrolling capture stitches the page into one image while you scroll, so a long article, a settings pane, a receipt, or a chat can stay in one file.
Start a scrolling capture
- Open the page you want, and put the window where you can scroll it.
- In Shoverlay, choose Scrolling from the menu or the All-In-One picker.
- Scroll the page while Shoverlay captures. Stop when the stitch covers the part you need.
Grant Screen Recording first. Without it, scrolling capture does nothing. After you allow it, quit Shoverlay and open it again.
Use the stitched image
Quick Access lets you copy, save, annotate, or pin the long image. Annotate if you need to point at one row in the middle of the page. History keeps the capture with your other shots. Export PNG, JPEG, TIFF, or WebP.
When a window shot is enough
If the whole subject already fits in one window, use Window instead. Scrolling is for content that continues past the bottom of the screen. A timer shot is a different job: it waits so a hover menu can appear, and it does not stitch a page.
Install Shoverlay on the Mac App Store. Captures stay on your Mac.
