History is the list of recent captures still on your Mac. You reopen one when you closed it and still need the picture. It is not a cloud library.
Open one item
- Open History from the Shoverlay menu.
- Select the capture.
- Reopen it, export it, or delete it.
From the reopened image you can copy, save, annotate, pin, or run OCR. Each of those is its own step. History itself only brings the capture back.
If the capture is not listed
History keeps recent captures. A file you saved somewhere else is that file, not a History row. Deleting the row removes it from this list. Shoverlay does not upload the capture.
Install Shoverlay on the Mac App Store.
