Read a QR code or barcode with a document camera on Mac

QR and barcode capture reads the code under the camera. It does not scan the rest of the page as a document, and it does not turn a table into a spreadsheet.

Read the code

Connect the USB camera and aim it at the code. Fill the frame with the code, not the whole poster.
In Capture, choose QR / barcode.
Hold the camera steady until VeeCam reads it.

If it does not read, flatten the paper, turn off glare, and move closer. A blurry code will not resolve.
