Scan a card with a USB document camera on Mac

Scan an ID or other card from a USB document camera and save that scan on your Mac.

VeeCam scanning a card

Card capture is for a card-sized original: an ID, a pass, a small printed card. It is not a full document page and not a book spread.

Scan the card

  1. Place the card under the USB camera. Choose that camera in VeeCam.
  2. In Capture, choose Card.
  3. Auto scan, or crop manually so the card edges are the edges of the file.
  4. Save. The scan stays on your Mac.

Install VeeCam on the Mac App Store.
