Window management gets heavy when the app wants you to live inside its own workspace. Gablet stays in the menu bar and moves the windows you already have. It is a Magnet and Moom alternative for Mac. This page does not compare prices.
Pick the action that matches the job
- Quick Throw — hold a modifier and move the cursor. The window goes to a half, the center, a corner, or two-thirds, even if it is not focused.
- Snap areas — drag to an edge, or to a rectangle you drew, when the standard fractions are wrong.
- Layouts — save the whole desk and restore it.
- Stash — slide windows off-screen and bring them back. One side, all but one, or cycle through what you hid.
- Pin Mode — hold one window still and reflow the others around it.
Keyboard shortcuts cover the same actions. Cursor-movement throws are there when your hand is already on the trackpad.
Set it up once
You can download Gablet. macOS 11.5 or later. The download includes a 7-day free trial, then a paid license. Grant Accessibility, then quit and reopen Gablet. Until you do that, none of the actions can move a window. Gablet does not track what you do.
What it will not do
It will not take a screenshot or record the screen. That is Shoverlay. It will not show a document camera. That is VeeCam. It will not turn a photo of a table into Excel. That is Tablune, which is coming soon for iPhone and iPad.
